Park Life: Business parks have traditionally sprouted in the countryside, but they could soon be flourishing in cramped urban areas. Sir Stuart Lipton, chairman of Stanhope, thinks that the rural idyll of business parks was just a dream. But the dream does not fit 21st century reality as workers now want vibrancy and energy rather than rural bliss. Lipton has always tried to create 'places', inward-looking schemes that create their own environments. Chiswick is heavily sold on its lifestyle as an oasis in suburban west London.
