An annual sponsored 5/10km walk or run entitles Yellow Umbrella Day that will take place through Chiswick and along the River Thames, is to be launched on Sunday October 19. Yellow Umbrella Day will become an annual initiative and, with the help of local companies such as Teletext and One.Tel, aims to raise in excess of £30,000 for a range of different charities during its first year – an amount that is hoped to increase in subsequent years.
