Business men unwind and get their skates on
Workers and guests all got their skates on at Chiswick Business Park on Friday as the festive season began with a free ice rink was set up for the very first time.
The 200 sq m ice rink proved an essential winter experience for all ages, with free boot hire at the park's events plaza. In addition an annual Christmas market was hosted by the park's Enjoy-Work team for the sixth year running.
The market included a mixture of local shopkeepers and market stalls housed within a large decorated marquee to ensure guests could do their entire Christmas shopping under one roof and escape the Christmas hassle and heaving crowds.
A seasonal selection of food and mulled wine was also served for those who wanted to relax after their skate or watch others take to the ice. Christmas carols were also performed by Chiswick and Bedford Park Preparatory School choir and a brass quintet performed throughout the afternoon.
Frances Goddard, community and communications manager at Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work said: "The ice rink was extremely popular. Staff were able to just log-off at work, come outside onto the ice, and experience a fantastic range of stalls and entertainment while they were there. This proved the perfect way to begin the festive season here at Chiswick Park and we are thrilled to be the first business park to host anything like this - especially offering the whole experience to everyone for free."
